Across Nigeria, tertiary institutions—including Federal, State, and Private universities, as well as polytechnics and colleges of nursing—have begun releasing their First Batch (Merit) and Early Provisional Admission Lists . If you sat for the 2026 UTME and participated in screening exercises or online evaluations, now is the time to start checking both your chosen institution’s portal and the JAMB CAPS (Central Admissions Processing System) portal regularly. Their first-batch merit lists are expected to drop on JAMB CAPS in phased rollouts over the coming weeks. 2. Private Universities (Rolling Batch Admissions) Unlike public institutions, private universities operate on a rolling admission model , issuing provisional offers as candidates complete their screening or online interviews: Babcock University: Provisional admission offers are being sent directly to successful applicants via email and updated on JAMB CAPS. Covenant University: Initial batch offers are actively reflecting on candidate portals following ongoing evaluations. Afe Babalola University (ABUAD): Early batch screening results and provisional offers are live. Maduka University (Enugu): 2026/2027 admissions are officially open, with early batch offers being processed. Print Your Official JAMB Admission Letter: After accepting, generate and print your official, colored JAMB Admission Letter for physical verification. Print Your Original JAMB Result Slip: Print a colored copy of your UTME result slip showing your photograph. Pay Your School’s Acceptance Fee: Visit your institution's portal to pay the acceptance fee before the deadline. Failure to pay within the stipulated timeframe may result in the forfeiture of your offer. Gather Clearance Documents: Prepare your original O'Level certificates/statements of result, birth certificate, state of origin identification, and passport photographs for physical screening. Haven't Been Admitted Yet? Here's What You Need to Know If your portal still displays "Not Admitted" or "Admission in Progress" , do not panic. Admissions are processed in multiple stages throughout the session: Subsequent Batches: Schools frequently publish Second Batch, Third Batch, and Catchment lists. Supplementary & Shopping Lists: Opportunities remain open if you decide to apply for department transfers or supplementary forms. JAMB CAPS Transfer Notifications: Keep an eye on the "Transfer Approval" tab on your CAPS in case your school recommends you for an alternative course that aligns with your aggregate score. OGB Admission Hub Advisory & Fraud Prevention To protect your hard-earned score and avoid admission pitfalls, follow these strict recommendations from OGB Admission Hub : Confirm O'Level Results Upload: Visit an accredited CBT center to confirm that your WAEC/NECO/NABTEB results are properly uploaded on JAMB CAPS. Institutions cannot process admissions without verified O'Level records. Beware of Admission Scammers: Legitimate admission in Nigeria cannot be purchased . Ignore individuals on social media or messaging apps claiming they can "upgrade" your score or guarantee admission for a fee. Monitor Portals Regularly: Log in to your school dashboard and JAMB CAPS at least twice a week to avoid missing time-sensitive updates or transfer offers. Stay Connected with OGB Admission Hub Admission processing is actively ongoing nationwide. OGB Admission Hub will continue to track institutions across Nigeria and publish verified admission updates as soon as official lists are released.
