JAMB Extends 2026 Direct Entry Registration Deadline Again

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has again extended the registration deadline for the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) admission exercise. According to the latest update released by the Board, candidates can now continue their Direct Entry registration until May 22, 2026. The extension is aimed at giving more applicants enough time to complete their registration and upload necessary credentials. JAMB explained that the decision became necessary due to delays experienced by some candidates in obtaining and processing required documents for registration. Recall that the Board had earlier shifted the deadline to May 8, 2026, and also approved additional accredited registration centres across the country to reduce pressure on existing centres. Candidates seeking admission through Direct Entry are strongly advised to take advantage of the extension and avoid waiting until the final days before completing their registration. Meanwhile, JAMB offices, Professional Registration Centres (PRCs), and Professional Testing Centres (PTCs) nationwide remain open for the ongoing DE registration exercise.
