LASUSTECH Announces IIVE/Post-UTME Screening for 2026/2027 Admission

The management of Lagos State University of Science and Technology has officially commenced its 2026/2027 admission screening exercise for UTME and Direct Entry candidates seeking admission into the institution. According to the institution, only candidates who selected LASUSTECH as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored a minimum of 195 are eligible to apply for the online screening exercise. The university also stated that applicants must possess at least five relevant O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings. Direct Entry candidates are equally required to choose LASUSTECH as first choice through JAMB before proceeding with the screening process. For Lagos State indigenes, the institution announced the commencement of its Indigeneship Verification Exercise (IIVE), which is compulsory for candidates claiming Lagos State origin. The exercise is designed to verify the authenticity of candidates’ indigeneship claims before admission consideration. The university explained that the screening process would be conducted online and does not require candidates to physically appear on campus. Applicants are expected to complete their registration through the institution’s admission portal and upload all required credentials, including O’Level results on JAMB CAPS. Candidates were advised to ensure that all information supplied during registration is accurate, as any false declaration could lead to disqualification from the admission process. The institution urged prospective students to complete their applications before the official deadline and regularly monitor the admission portal for updates concerning the screening exercise and admission process.
