The Admission Officer Who Promised Everything: Why Students Must Stop Depending on “Connections”

Many students lose admission opportunities because they trust someone who claims, “I work in the university, I will give you admission.” A university staff member may guide you, but that does not mean they can bypass admission requirements. Your JAMB score, subject combination, O’Level result, screening, course requirements and JAMB CAPS still matter. The danger is that students relying on “connections” often ignore deadlines, refuse necessary course changes and stop following official updates. Don't Allow Desperation to Make You Vulnerable Students and parents become particularly vulnerable when admission deadlines are approaching. That desperation creates an opportunity for people who promise what they cannot deliver. Before paying anybody who claims they can influence admission, ask a simple question: If this person disappears tomorrow, have I still completed every official requirement necessary for admission? If the answer is no, you are taking a dangerous risk. OGB Admission Hub Advice At OGB Admission Hub , we encourage candidates to make admission decisions based on eligibility, accurate information, institutional requirements and proper admission procedures—not promises of connections. Your JAMB score, O'Level result, subject combination, choice of institution, choice of course and timely completion of admission procedures matter. Seek guidance, but never surrender your future to somebody simply because they claim to “know people inside the university.” Connections may disappoint you. Due process gives you something you can actually monitor. Before choosing or changing a course, understand your eligibility first. Seek guidance, but follow due process. A genuine helper should show you the right admission pathway—not promise to manipulate the system. Don’t gamble with your admission. Follow the process. 🌐 OGB Admission Hub www.ogbadmissionhub.com
