When Will WAEC 2026 Results Be Released? Expected Date and Latest Update Published by OGB Admission Hub Thousands of candidates who participated in the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) are eagerly waiting for the release of their results. If you are among them, here's what you need to know about the expected release date and how to check your result once it is available. When Should Candidates Expect the 2026 WAEC Results? Although the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has not announced an official release date for the 2026 WASSCE for School Candidates, the council typically releases results 45 to 60 days after the last examination paper . Since the 2026 WASSCE examinations concluded in June 2026 , candidates should expect the results to be released between late July and early August 2026 , if WAEC follows its usual timeline. Why Does WAEC Take Several Weeks? Before releasing results, WAEC carries out several important processes, including: Collection of scripts from examination centres. Marking of objective and essay papers. Collation and verification of candidates' scores. Investigation of reported examination malpractice cases. Final approval before publication. These procedures help ensure the accuracy and credibility of the results. How to Check Your WAEC Result Once the results are released, candidates can check them by: Visiting the official WAEC result portal. Entering their Examination Number. Selecting the Examination Year (2026). Choosing the Examination Type. Entering the Result Checker PIN and Serial Number. Clicking Submit to view the result. Candidates are advised to use only the official WAEC portal and avoid fraudulent websites claiming to release results early. What Should Candidates Do While Waiting? Instead of waiting idly, candidates should: Register for Post-UTME screening in their preferred universities. Upload their O'Level results to the JAMB CAPS portal as soon as the results are released. Keep all registration documents safe. Monitor official admission updates from their chosen institutions. Beware of Fake Result Websites Every year, scammers create fake websites and social media posts claiming that WAEC results have been released. Candidates should rely only on official WAEC announcements and trusted education platforms.
