OGB ADMISSION HUB

Privacy policy

Effective date: 1 November 2026. OGB Admission Hub is operated by OGB Innovative Technical Services, 146, Cele Bus Stop, Okeletu, Ijede Road, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria. Contact ogbadmission@gmail.com for privacy enquiries.

Information you provide

  • Accounts: registration and profile details, such as your name, email address, telephone number and authentication information.
  • Admission assistance: your institution and course choices, academic information, date of birth, state of origin, application instructions and documents you choose to upload. We use these to provide the assistance you request and maintain your application history.
  • Payments: payment references, amounts, confirmation status and receipts. Online payment processing is provided through Paystack; do not send us card PINs, passwords or OTPs.
  • CBT: practice activity, scores and results you choose to sync. Offline question packs and practice records may be stored on your device.
  • Comments and forum posts: your submitted name and text may become public after moderation. Reader email addresses are not displayed publicly with comments. Avoid posting private documents or contact details.
  • Newsletters and enquiries: email addresses, subscription choices, messages and confirmation or delivery records used to provide the updates or support you request.

School alerts and education partners

If you opt in to school alerts, we store your selected schools and email preferences after you confirm your email. Future emails include a secure preferences link and unsubscribe option. Saving a school on your device alone does not subscribe you. Partner applicants supply their organisation, contact details, state, role and optional note so OGB can review the application and contact them. These details are restricted to authorised staff; approved partners receive a public referral code for traffic attribution, without access to student records.

Technical information and local storage

Operating the service involves connection and security information such as IP addresses, browser/device details, request logs and sign-in events. Cookies, browser storage and device identifiers support sessions, security, device-access rules, saved preferences and offline CBT. Saved school shortlists are stored on your browser and can be removed from the homepage or by clearing site storage. School bookmarks do not subscribe you to automatic alerts. Clearing browser storage may remove offline questions, results or sign-in information.

Cookie consent and your choices

Cookie preferences updated 1 November 2026. Essential cookies and necessary local storage support account login, secure sessions, device checks, admission processing, payment verification and requested student features. They remain available regardless of your optional-cookie choice. Optional Google Analytics cookies and optional Google advertising scripts are disabled until you explicitly opt in to their separate categories. OGB's built-in site metrics can run without storing a visitor identifier until an analytics choice is made; declining disables optional tracking. A first-visit banner offers Accept all, Reject optional and Customise with neither optional category selected by default. Your choice is remembered in your browser for up to 180 days; visit this Privacy Policy page and select Manage cookie preferences to change or withdraw consent. We attempt to delete first-party Google Analytics cookies on withdrawal, but other third-party cookies may need to be cleared in your browser. Blocking optional cookies does not restrict CBT, admission applications, downloads or account use. Google ad delivery remains off pending approval and further consent requirements.

Google Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand visits and completed actions on the site, including sharing-button clicks and the optional category you select when asked how you heard about OGB. Sharing-button clicks measure intent to share; they do not confirm that a message was sent. Shared tool links contain the public tool or school link and campaign labels, without your grades or personal results. Google may process IP addresses, device/browser information, page activity and cookie or other identifiers. Our analytics implementation excludes query strings from page locations and is designed not to send names, email addresses, phone numbers, admission records or question content as event parameters. Google signals and advertising-personalisation signals are disabled in our analytics configuration.

Learn how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can control cookies in your browser or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on where supported.

Advertising and Google AdSense

Our site is applying to use Google AdSense. Ad delivery is temporarily paused while the account is unapproved. Advertising eligibility and actual ad delivery depend on Google’s approval and settings; a publisher-account verification tag is not a statement that ads are already active. Advertising is excluded from private applicant pages, CBT, the forum and automated admission-form listings.

Where Google ads are enabled, Google and other third-party vendors may place and read cookies on your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to collect information as a result of ad serving. Advertising cookies can be used to serve ads based on previous visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalised advertising through Google My Ad Center, and learn about advertising cookies at Google’s advertising technology page. Browser controls may also restrict or delete cookies.

Where consent is required for advertising, the appropriate consent mechanism must be available before those ads are enabled. Refusing optional advertising does not make admission assistance mandatory or affect an institution’s admission decision.

Application-support communication

When you request admission assistance, authorised OGB staff may use the email associated with your account and the phone number provided in your application to contact you about your application, required corrections and service updates. Staff can initiate an individual support email, telephone call or WhatsApp conversation. This contact information is not published to other students or the public. We will never ask for passwords, payment PINs or one-time security codes by email or phone.

How information is used and shared

We use information to operate and secure the platform, respond to enquiries, provide requested services, verify payments, moderate public contributions and deliver subscribed updates. Service providers for hosting, authentication, storage, email, analytics and payment processing handle information needed for those functions; our platform uses Floot, Firebase/Google services, Amazon email infrastructure and Paystack. Service processing may occur outside Nigeria.

Authorised staff can access information needed for their work. Application information is shared with an institution or its application service as necessary for the assistance you approve. We may also disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse or security incidents. Public posts are visible to other readers.

Retention and security

We retain records as needed to deliver requested services, maintain account and application histories, handle disputes, meet accounting or legal obligations and protect the service. Retention depends on the type of record and the purpose; unsubscribe and suppression records may be retained to respect an opt-out. Access controls and security measures reduce risk, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You can unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter, manage browser cookies/storage, and contact us to request access, correction or deletion of your information or to raise an objection. We may need to verify that a request belongs to you. Some information may need to be retained for legal, payment, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes; we will explain applicable limits when responding.

Students and guardians

This service supports prospective students, including students under 18. A parent or guardian should assist a minor with paid services and sharing sensitive documents. Do not submit another person’s records without appropriate authority. Parents or guardians can contact us about a child’s information.

Other websites and updates

Official institutions, scholarship sponsors, WhatsApp and other linked services have their own privacy practices. This policy covers OGB Admission Hub. We will publish material changes here with an updated effective date.
