2026 JAMB Original Result Slip: Official Printing Guidance (Historical Update)

Editorial review note — 28 October 2026. The June 2026 announcement concerns the 2026 result-slip service, not a new release today. Verify the service, applicable charges and eligibility through your own official JAMB account; avoid private result-slip sellers. Check the referenced official source . Candidates Advised to Print Their Original Result Slips Immediately

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the printing of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Original Result Slip , a critical document required for admission processing into tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

With universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education gradually commencing their Post-UTME and screening exercises, candidates are strongly advised to obtain their original result slips as early as possible to avoid last-minute delays.

The Original Result Slip is one of the most important documents required during admission screening, clearance, and registration exercises.

What Is the JAMB Original Result Slip?

The Original Result Slip is the official document issued by JAMB containing:

✅ Candidate's Full Name

✅ Registration Number

✅ Passport Photograph

✅ Institution Choice

✅ Course of Study

✅ Subject Combination

✅ Individual Subject Scores

✅ Total UTME Score

Unlike the SMS result notification or score checker result, the Original Result Slip serves as the official admission document recognized by tertiary institutions.

Why Candidates Must Print It Now

As the 2026/2027 admission season enters a crucial stage, candidates will need their Original Result Slips for:

Post-UTME Registration

Most institutions require candidates to upload or present their Original Result Slip during screening registration.

Admission Verification

The document helps institutions verify the authenticity of candidates' UTME records.

Physical Screening and Clearance

Successful candidates will be required to present the Original Result Slip during departmental and faculty clearance exercises.

Scholarship Applications

Many scholarship bodies demand the Original Result Slip as part of their screening requirements.

How to Print Your Original JAMB Result Slip

Candidates can obtain their result slips through the official JAMB e-Facility Portal.

Steps:

Visit the JAMB e-Facility Portal.

Log in using your registered email address and password.

Select "Print Result Slip."

Complete the prescribed payment.

Choose the 2026 examination year.

Download and print your Original Result Slip.

Candidates should print multiple copies and keep both soft and hard copies for future use.

Important Reminder for Admission Seekers

Printing your result slip alone does not guarantee admission.

Candidates should also ensure that:

Their O'Level results have been uploaded to JAMB CAPS.

Their subject combinations are correct.

Their admission aggregates are competitive.

Their institution and course choices align with their scores.

They monitor Post-UTME announcements regularly.

Many admission opportunities are lost every year because candidates fail to complete these important requirements on time.

Admission Season Has Officially Begun

With the release of UTME and Mop-Up examination results, institutions across Nigeria are expected to intensify admission activities in the coming weeks.

Several universities and polytechnics have already commenced the sale of Post-UTME forms, while others are expected to announce their screening guidelines shortly.

Candidates are therefore advised to stay informed and begin preparing all necessary admission documents immediately.
