How to Check WAEC 2026 WASSCE Results on the Official WAEC Portal

Editorially revised on 28 October 2026. This independently rewritten edition corrects or clarifies the older OGB report. All dates and requirements below refer to the academic session stated; verify new notices before paying fees or applying.

Checking a WAEC examination result

For a school candidate checking a released WASSCE result, start from WAEC's official result-checking portal rather than a link shared in an unofficial social-media group. Have your examination number, examination year, examination type and any required result-checker PIN and serial number ready.

Before paying for any service

Check the official page's instructions and the details printed on your valid result-checker credential. Do not pay someone who claims they can 'upgrade' a grade. The result-checker service displays records held by the examination body; it does not let private agents change a candidate's official results.

After obtaining your result

Save a copy securely, compare your O'Level subjects with the current requirements for your intended institution and course, and follow JAMB's instructions for any required O'Level upload. Admission eligibility involves the specific programme's subject combination and sitting rules, not just the number of credits.

Historical context: The original article used the headline 'WAEC RESULT IS OUT!' in August 2026. Result availability differs by examination series; this updated guide explains how to check an eligible result without suggesting that every WAEC examination's results have been released today.
