LASU Direct Entry Admission List 2026/2027: Names Reportedly Appearing on JAMB CAPS — How to Check

Published: Monday, 2 November 2026 By OGB Admission Hub News Desk

There is a new admission update for candidates who applied to Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, through Direct Entry for the 2026/2027 academic session .

Education news platforms have reported that LASU has commenced uploading Direct Entry admission names onto the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board's Central Admissions Processing System (JAMB CAPS).

The reports, published between 1 and 2 November 2026, indicate that prospective Direct Entry candidates should begin checking their CAPS dashboards for admission updates.

OGB Admission Hub advises candidates to verify their individual admission status through JAMB CAPS. Although the reported upload has appeared in education news coverage, a corresponding official announcement confirming the latest batch was not independently located on LASU's news portal at the time of publication.

LASU Direct Entry Admission List: Latest Development

Reports indicate that admission processing for LASU Direct Entry applicants has progressed to the JAMB CAPS stage.

This development follows earlier reports that the university's Direct Entry admission results became available through its school admission portal in late October 2026.

Candidates who have already checked their LASU screening results should therefore monitor their JAMB CAPS accounts for any admission offer or further instructions.

Importantly, an admission update on the LASU portal is not necessarily the same as an approved offer displayed on JAMB CAPS .

Applicants should check both platforms rather than relying entirely on information shared by other candidates.

How to Check LASU Direct Entry Admission Status on JAMB CAPS

Candidates can follow these steps:

Visit the official JAMB e-Facility portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/ .

Log in using your registered email address and password.

Select Check Admission Status .

Choose the relevant examination year, 2026.

Select Access My CAPS , where available.

Click Admission Status .

Review the admission information displayed on your dashboard.

If an offer is available, confirm the institution and programme before responding.

Candidates are advised to read every instruction carefully before accepting or rejecting an offer.

Where a transfer to another programme has been proposed, review the Transfer Approval section and decide whether the alternative programme is acceptable.

How to Check LASU Direct Entry Admission on the School Portal

In addition to JAMB CAPS, applicants should check their LASU admission screening dashboard.

Official LASU portal: https://services.lidc.lasu.edu.ng/admissionscreening/

To proceed:

Open the LASU admission screening portal.

Select the Direct Entry candidate category.

Log in using the credentials required by the portal.

Check for your admission or screening outcome.

Follow any instructions displayed by the university.

Candidates experiencing difficulties should use the support information provided on LASU's official website.

What Does Not Admitted Mean on JAMB CAPS?

A candidate whose CAPS dashboard displays Not Admitted does not currently have an approved admission offer showing on that account.

It does not automatically establish why the application has not been approved.

Candidates should verify their credentials, review official LASU updates and follow any instructions already communicated by the institution.

They should not assume that additional admission batches will be released unless the university or JAMB provides confirmation.

Important Requirements for LASU Direct Entry Candidates

LASU's official admission screening portal identifies the following important requirements for Direct Entry applicants:

Valid JAMB Direct Entry registration.

Lagos State University selected as the first-choice institution.

Relevant post-secondary qualifications, such as ND/OND, NCE, HND, A-Level or another accepted equivalent.

Submission of hard copies of credentials to the Admissions Office as required by LASU.

Applicants should ensure that their academic qualifications, O'Level records and Direct Entry details are accurate and available for admission processing.

Candidates with outstanding result verification or documentation issues should contact the appropriate university or JAMB support office.

What Should Candidates Do After Receiving Admission?

If an admission offer appears on JAMB CAPS:

Verify that the admission belongs to you.

Confirm your programme and institution.

Respond to the admission offer through the appropriate CAPS option.

Follow LASU's official instructions concerning documentation, registration and any required payments.

Keep copies of your admission records and payment receipts.

Do not pay anyone who claims to have private access to JAMB CAPS or guarantees that your name can be added to an admission list.
