NNPC/SEPLAT Scholarship 2026: Application Closed, Official Eligibility and Free Application Explained

Was the NNPC/SEPLAT scholarship open in October 2026?

No. Seplat Energy's official 2026 notice gave the application period as 23 February to 13 March 2026 . We have not identified a verified new application window in that notice. Do not submit money or personal documents to an unofficial portal claiming the 2026 cycle is still open.

Who was eligible for the 2026 programme?

The NNPC/SEPLAT Joint Venture's National Undergraduate Scholarship supported students at federal and state universities in Nigeria. The official notice required applicants to be in their second year of study or above , have a CGPA of 3.5 or higher , and possess five O'Level credits including English Language and Mathematics at one sitting . Applications were also limited to the disciplines published in Seplat's official list, including selected engineering, science, business, medicine, law and other programmes.

Did students need to pay an application or processing fee?

No application fee was charged by the scholarship organiser. The 2026 advertisement explicitly stated that applications were free. The official form was linked from Seplat Energy's own announcement and directed applicants to the Seplat Growth Academy scholarship portal. A third-party consultant may independently charge for unrelated assistance, but such payment is not part of the scholarship's application requirement and cannot secure a scholarship award.
