How to Apply for UNN Shopping Form 2026/2027

Eligible candidates should follow the university's published application procedure.

Step 1: Visit the official UNN website

Open https://www.unn.edu.ng or https://unnportal.unn.edu.ng .

Step 2: Generate your payment invoice

Log in with your JAMB registration number and generate the payment invoice containing a Remita reference.

Step 3: Pay the processing fee

Use the generated invoice to pay the official ₦10,000 shopping processing fee at a commercial bank, as directed by UNN. Ensure that the payment details are entered correctly.

Step 4: Collect your payment confirmation

Retain the confirmation slip containing the invoice and confirmation numbers.

Step 5: Complete the online application

Return to the university portal, log in using the required JAMB registration and invoice details, and complete the advertised-course application.

Step 6: Monitor your admission status

After applying, follow further instructions from the university and monitor your admission status through the official JAMB CAPS platform.

Submitting a shopping application is not a guarantee of admission.

Before You Apply: Avoid These Common Mistakes

A candidate who narrowly missed admission into a preferred course may be tempted to select any advertised programme. However, choosing an incompatible course could result in another unsuccessful application.

Before paying the processing fee, check:

Whether your UTME subjects match the new course.

Whether your O'Level results satisfy its entry requirements.

Whether you meet any higher departmental screening threshold.

Whether the programme fits your academic interests and career plans.

Candidates can use the free eligibility-checking tool on OGB Admission Hub to review their course and subject combinations before proceeding to the university's official application process.

Is UNN Shopping the Same as Supplementary Admission?

Course shopping is one pathway through which UNN considers qualified candidates for available programmes after earlier admission offers have been published.

It allows candidates who are still seeking admission to apply for advertised programmes with remaining capacity.

However, admission remains subject to university requirements, available places, screening results and the applicable JAMB admission procedures.

Important Clarification About UNN Staff Request Forms

UNN also published a separate 2026/2027 staff-request admission notice alongside the general course-shopping announcement.

The staff-request application fee is ₦5,000 , whereas the general advertised-course shopping fee is ₦10,000 .

The two application routes have different eligibility conditions. General applicants should not confuse the staff-request payment with the standard shopping process.

When Is the UNN Shopping Form Closing?

The announced deadline is Tuesday, November 3, 2026 .

As of October 29, applications are within the university's published window. Candidates should complete all required steps before the deadline rather than assume an extension will be announced.
