JUST IN: FUNAAB Releases 2026/2027 First Batch Admission List as LASU Continues Admission Upload

Editorial review note — 28 October 2026. This report describes 2026 admission uploads as they were announced at the time. Candidates should check the current FUNAAB admissions portal and JAMB CAPS directly. A school list appearing on a portal is not an offer to a specific candidate. JUST IN: FUNAAB Releases 2026/2027 First Batch Admission List as LASU Continues Admission Upload
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has commenced the release of its 2026/2027 admission list , while candidates seeking admission into Lagos State University (LASU) have also been advised to remain patient as the university continues its admission process, with more names expected to appear in subsequent batches.
FUNAAB Releases First Batch Admission List
FUNAAB has officially indicated on its 2026/2027 admission portal that the First Batch Admission List has been uploaded .
Candidates who participated in the university's 2026/2027 admission exercise can now log in to the FUNAAB admission portal with their JAMB/UTME Registration Number to check their admission status.
The university had earlier stated that admission for the session would be processed strictly through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Central Admissions Processing System (JAMB CAPS) , taking into consideration:
The carrying capacity of each programme
The minimum UTME requirement for the course
O'Level requirements
UTME subject combination
Direct Entry requirements where applicable
How to Check FUNAAB Admission Status
Candidates should:
Visit the official FUNAAB Admission Portal .
Select the 2026/2027 admission exercise .
Click on the login option.
Enter your JAMB Registration Number .
Log in and check whether you have been offered admission.
Successful candidates should also regularly check their JAMB CAPS .
Once the admission reflects on JAMB CAPS, candidates should ACCEPT the admission offer if they intend to study the course.
After acceptance, print the JAMB Admission Letter when available.
Not Admitted in the First FUNAAB Batch?
Candidates who have not yet received an admission offer should not panic .
The first batch does not necessarily represent the end of the admission exercise. Universities normally process admissions progressively based on available spaces, departmental requirements and approval through JAMB CAPS.
Candidates should therefore continue checking both the FUNAAB portal and JAMB CAPS for further updates.
LASU Admission Still Ongoing – More Candidates Expected to Receive Offers
Meanwhile, Lagos State University (LASU) has already commenced the release and uploading of its 2026/2027 admission offers .
LASU initially began making admission status available through its admission screening portal and subsequently commenced uploading successful candidates to JAMB CAPS .
The admission process is being carried out progressively, meaning candidates who have not received admission yet should continue monitoring their portals.
Importantly, the absence of an admission offer at the moment does not automatically mean that a candidate has been denied admission .
LASU admission processing is normally done in stages, and more candidates may receive offers as the university continues processing eligible applicants and available programme spaces.
How to Check LASU Admission Status
LASU applicants can check through the university's admission screening portal.
Candidates should:
Visit the LASU Admission Screening Portal .
Enter their JAMB Registration Number .
Enter their surname exactly as used during registration .
Log in to view their admission status.
Candidates should also check JAMB CAPS regularly.
How to Check LASU Admission on JAMB CAPS
Log in to the JAMB e-Facility portal .
Access your candidate profile.
Select Check Admission Status .
Click Access My CAPS .
Select Admission Status .
Check whether LASU has recommended you for admission.
If offered admission, accept or reject the offer as appropriate .
Candidates using mobile phones who encounter difficulty viewing the full CAPS page may switch their browser to Desktop Site/Desktop Mode .
Seeing “Not Admitted” Does Not Always Mean the Process Is Over
This is particularly important for candidates checking their admission status repeatedly.
If JAMB CAPS currently displays:
“Not Admitted”
it may simply mean that an admission offer has not yet been uploaded for the candidate.
As long as the institution is still processing admissions, candidates should continue monitoring their status.
However, candidates should also ensure that:
Their O'Level result has been uploaded to JAMB CAPS
Their chosen course meets the institution's requirements
Their UTME subject combination is correct
They have completed the institution's screening requirements
LASU or FUNAAB remains properly reflected as their institution where required
There are no unresolved issues on their JAMB profile
What to Do When Admission Is Offered
Once a candidate receives an admission offer through JAMB CAPS, it is important to act promptly.
Candidates should:
Confirm that the institution and course offered are correct
Accept the admission through the approved JAMB process
Print the JAMB Admission Letter when available
Follow the university's instructions regarding acceptance fees, clearance and registration
Keep copies of all admission-related documents
Candidates offered a different course from their original choice should carefully review the offer and any required change of course procedure before completing registration.
OGBAdmissionHub Advice to FUNAAB and LASU Aspirants
Admission is a process, not necessarily a one-day event.
If your friend has already received admission while yours still shows “Not Admitted,” do not assume immediately that you have lost the opportunity.
Different departments and programmes may be processed at different times.
Continue checking your:
School Portal + JAMB CAPS
and ensure that all required credentials, particularly your O'Level result, are correctly uploaded.
At the same time, candidates should avoid paying anyone who claims they can “force” an admission onto JAMB CAPS.
Legitimate admission must eventually reflect through the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) .

FUNAAB's official 2026 portal currently displays “First Batch Admission List Uploaded,” and the university says admissions are processed through JAMB CAPS. ( FUNAAB Admission Portal ) LASU has already released/started uploading 2026/2027 offers, with the process continuing progressively, so I deliberately used “more names expected” rather than claiming LASU has announced a specific second-batch release date.
