Three Courses Available for LASUED Supplementary Admission

LASUED has announced vacancies in the following programmes:

1. B.CHS. Community Health Science

Duration: Five years for UTME candidates

Community Health Science focuses on promoting healthier communities through preventive healthcare, health education and community-based health services.

Graduates may pursue careers in community health programmes, health promotion, public health projects and related fields, subject to applicable professional requirements.

2. B.Sc . Public Health

Duration: Four years for UTME candidates

Public Health is concerned with protecting and improving population health through disease prevention, health education, epidemiology and public health interventions.

Potential career pathways include health promotion, community health initiatives, health policy support and public health research.

3. B.Sc . Water Sanitation and Hygiene

Duration: Four years for UTME candidates

Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) studies the relationship between water quality, environmental sanitation, hygiene practices and disease prevention.

Graduates may work in areas such as environmental health programmes, water and sanitation projects, community development and public health organisations.

Who Can Apply for LASUED Supplementary Admission?

According to the university, eligible applicants include:

Candidates who participated in the 2026 UTME and scored at least 185.

Candidates who have not secured admission through their earlier institutional choices.

Candidates who did not initially select LASUED but are willing to change their institution through JAMB.

Candidates whose O'Level results and UTME subjects meet the requirements of their intended programme.

Qualified Direct Entry candidates with relevant advanced-level or post-secondary qualifications.

Applicants must meet the requirements for their chosen programme. A UTME score of 185 alone does not guarantee admission.

LASUED O'Level Requirements for the Three Courses

For Community Health Science, Public Health and Water Sanitation and Hygiene, LASUED requires five credit passes in:

English Language

Mathematics

Biology

Chemistry

Physics

The credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings from recognised examinations such as WAEC, NECO or NABTEB.

Important clarification on JAMB subject combinations

LASUED's published notice lists several science subjects together under the UTME requirements, including Mathematics, Biology or Health Science, Chemistry and Physics. It also mentions Geography as an option for Water Sanitation and Hygiene.

However, JAMB UTME candidates sit four subjects in total, including Use of English .

Candidates should therefore not interpret the university's entire subject list as five or six separate UTME examination subjects.

Before changing courses, verify the precise approved four-subject combination through the university and JAMB's official eligibility-checking system.

This is particularly important for applicants moving from another course or institution.

How to Apply for LASUED Supplementary Admission 2026/2027

Candidates who meet the requirements should follow these steps.

Step 1: Confirm your eligibility

Check that you have at least 185 in the 2026 UTME and the required O'Level credits for the programme you intend to study.

Step 2: Complete the necessary JAMB change

If LASUED is not your current institution choice, follow the authorised JAMB change-of-institution procedure and select Lagos State University of Education and the appropriate programme.

Step 3: Visit the official LASUED website

Open https://www.lasued.edu.ng and navigate to the undergraduate admission application section.

Step 4: Complete the supplementary screening registration

Step 6: Retain your application records

Save your screening acknowledgement and any official payment receipts for future reference.

Step 7: Monitor your application

The university has warned applicants against paying individuals or transferring money to unauthorised accounts.

Direct Entry Requirements

LASUED also provides admission opportunities for eligible Direct Entry applicants.

The university lists relevant qualifications including:

Ordinary National Diploma (OND)

Higher National Diploma (HND)

Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) with Merit

Relevant A-Level qualifications

Applicants must also possess the required O'Level credits.

Additional instruction for Direct Entry applicants: LASUED requires them to submit a copy of their online screening report, together with the appropriate NCE, ND or diploma result notification, to the university's Admission Office for further processing.

LASUED Supplementary Admission Closing Date

The university has fixed Friday, October 30, 2026 , as the closing date.

As of Thursday, October 29, the announced deadline is one day away.

Candidates should not assume that another extension will be granted.

Anyone interested in applying should verify eligibility and complete the necessary procedures promptly.

Can Candidates Who Did Not Choose LASUED Apply?

Yes.

The supplementary announcement expressly accommodates candidates who initially selected another institution but are willing to change to LASUED through the applicable JAMB procedure.

However, changing institution does not automatically secure admission. Applicants must still satisfy the university's screening and programme requirements.
