By OGB Admission Hub Updated: 22 October 2026

Planning to study at a federal or state university in South-West Nigeria? Before choosing an institution, it is important to understand its school fees and the additional expenses that may come with admission.

This guide covers universities across Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti states , using the latest available figures found during our review.

The amounts below cover different academic sessions. Where a newer official schedule was unavailable, the last published or reported figures are identified accordingly. These amounts are useful for planning, but students should confirm their exact charges through the university’s official payment portal.

For LASU, LASUSTECH and LASUED, the ₦95,000 starting figure does not establish one uniform charge for every student . Applicants should check their programme, level and admission category before paying.

FUTES-IYIN’s freshers’ instructions require evidence of acceptance and medical payments alongside the bundle-fee process. Its ₦311,500 bundle should therefore not be described as a complete first-year budget.

EKSU’s reported range includes lower Education charges and higher professional-course charges. BOUESTI’s older official page separately lists a ₦50,000 acceptance fee .

How Much Should a New Student Budget?

Start with the fee for your exact course and admission category. Then check whether the following are included:

Acceptance and clearance.

Medical screening and health insurance.

Laboratory, professional and departmental charges.

ICT and utility charges.

Accommodation.

Add feeding, transport, books and personal equipment separately. Avoid counting an item twice if it is already included in a university’s bundle.

An instalment payment is part of the full fee—it is not a lower annual charge.

Advice From OGB Admission Hub

Use the figures in this guide to compare options and prepare financially. Before paying, generate an official invoice showing your name, course, level and academic session , and confirm the amount through the university’s approved payment channel.

Where no dependable figure is listed, an amount has been left out deliberately rather than replacing it with a guess.
