UNILAG 2026/2027 Admission: Official Post-UTME Rules and Departmental Cut-Off Marks

Editorially revised on 28 October 2026. This independently rewritten edition corrects or clarifies the older OGB report. All dates and requirements below refer to the academic session stated; verify new notices before paying fees or applying.
What UNILAG officially announced
The University of Lagos published its 2026/2027 UTME merit and catchment cut-off marks on 16 September 2026. The scores vary by course and, for qualifying candidates, by catchment state. Students must compare the appropriate column for their own programme rather than use a single general score.
How the earlier screening worked
The university's 9 June screening announcement said applicants needed to make UNILAG their first-choice institution, score at least 200 in the 2026 UTME, and satisfy five relevant O'Level credits at one sitting, including English Language and Mathematics. Registration was scheduled for 15 June to 8 July 2026, so this article is not an announcement of a currently open registration window.
What candidates should do in October
Review the published 2026/2027 merit and catchment table, check your programme and state, and monitor your JAMB CAPS status and official UNILAG notices. Meeting a published number is not an automatic admission offer. Beware of people promising to bypass university or JAMB procedures for payment.
