UNILAG 2026/2027 Merit Cut-Off Marks: Medicine 83.425, Computer Science 82.05 and Law 79.125

The University of Lagos published its 2026/2027 UTME merit cut-off marks on 16 September 2026. Applicants should use the university’s dated announcement when checking the threshold for their chosen programme.

Selected merit figures in the official table are Medicine and Surgery: 83.425 ; Computer Science: 82.05 ; and Law: 79.125 . These figures concern aggregate admission scores. They should not be interpreted as UTME scores out of 400.

Read the correct column

The university’s announcement contains programme and admission-category information. A figure copied without its heading can mislead a candidate. Open the full university table, locate the exact course title and check which column applies to your circumstances.

Do not assume that a merit figure, a catchment figure and the minimum UTME score for screening all mean the same thing. Likewise, an older session’s table should not be substituted for the 2026/2027 document.

What a published threshold does not establish

Meeting a numerical threshold does not replace checks on subject combinations, O-level results, screening participation and the candidate’s official admission record. Applicants should follow the university’s instructions and check their own status rather than rely on an unofficial promise of admission.

Keep a dated copy of the relevant notice for reference. If a screenshot or forwarded list differs from the university’s publication, confirm the discrepancy with the admissions office before taking action.
