UNILAG Aggregate Scores: Verify the Formula and Academic Session Before Calculating

A UNILAG aggregate estimate is useful only when its formula belongs to the admission session being considered. An older formula or merit table should not be presented as a current admission guarantee.

What the official records establish

UNILAG’s published assessment modalities for 2025/2026 allocated 50 points to UTME, 30 to Post-UTME and 20 to O-level results. That dated document does not, by itself, confirm the formula for 2026/2027.

For the newer session, applicants should consult UNILAG’s separate 2026/2027 merit cut-off announcement and the applicable screening instructions. The published merit figures include Medicine and Surgery at 83.425, Computer Science at 82.05 and Law at 79.125. These are programme merit thresholds, not raw UTME scores.

How to use an estimate responsibly

First identify the exact session and entry route. Confirm the university’s current assessment formula before converting examination results. Then check course-specific subjects, O-level conditions and any applicable admission category. An arithmetic total cannot establish that all these requirements have been satisfied.

A calculator is a preparation aid. Its result does not reserve a place, measure an exact admission probability or replace a decision on the official admission systems. Where the current formula cannot be confirmed, leave the estimate unverified rather than substitute an older rule.

Correction, 26 October 2026: This guide replaces an undated score table, unsupported current-session formula claims and an editing prompt accidentally left in the earlier article.
